It is now the next day. It is very hot and dry. Its fire weather, so any small spark can cause a bushfire.

On Inut, Vikings and dragons are getting ready for a battle against the Dragon Hunters. Lily, Leader of the dragon riders is unconscious thanks to Slitherwing venom, but she is recovering.

Cindy got up from her position with Zirconia, yawning. She quickly remembered what had happened and hopped onto Zirconia, heading to Lily's house where she jumped off Zirconia and knocked, seeing if she was awake yet.

Lily heard a knock on the door and opened her eyes. Her insides felt like they had been frozen then cooked. She staggered to her feet and carefully went down the stars to the door opening it. "Hi... Cindy."

Avalanche was pacing outside of Lily's house, unable to get the door open. She was worried and separated from her brother. She panted, feeling hot in the sunlight and she glanced towards the door as it opened. She still couldn't fly without being in pain but she was willing.

Ruddy had slept on the roof last night and fell off it onto the ground in front of Lily.

"You're awake!" Cindy grinned, rubbing her left upperarm. "How are you? It's a stupid question but on a scale of 1 - 10 how bad? If 10 was I'm dying." She rambled.

Ruddy bit her finger luckily he had no venom.

Avalanche growled a little and flapped her wings a bit, trying to take flight.

Cindy winced. "Well, tell me if you want to go anywhere." she smiled. "Rest up okay? Sorry I didn't notice the poisonous dragon."

Lily put her hand onto Cindy's shoulder. "It wasn't your fault. I didn't notice them either." She said. "Come on, inside." She said, motioning to her house. "Its a bit lonely with only Orion, Ruddy and Avalanche for company."

Avalanche nudged Lily gently with her nose, her face was worried and she made chirp-like noises as if to say "I was worried about you".

Orion was sitting on the roof. "You know, I would have never have thought my younger sister would get a rider."

"Alright." Cindy smiled, stepping in. She flicked her hand, then made some gestures with her fingers and Zirconia grunted then flew off.

"You had the chance to, Orion!" Avalanche growled up at him and then glanced away as a new girl approached. She growled protectively over Lily as the girl drew closer. (Skullette)

Skullette chuckled. "Gee, it's really bad you got poisoned, I mean it's not like you knew about it but still, I heard Cindy told you not to jinx it. I'd say you did!" she teased her.

"Oh come on, that title doesn't work with the dragon hunters should you know. They don't care about your "lead" title, you certainly lead yourself into trouble yesterday and now there's a war. I hope you're proud of your-" she cut off as Avalanche pounced on her and pinned her to the ground.

Skullette ignored Cindy with mild difficulty. "None of your business. If it weren't for you she wouldn't have gotten poisoned. Now you're all doomed to die in this war unless you come up with a really good plan against those hunters. After all, if they're strong enough to take down a timberjack, I'm pretty sure they'd pay dear attention to your night fury friend. Wouldn't want to see her head stuck over a mantelpiece now would you?" she asked Lily.

Avalanche growled and her eyes narrowed at Skullette. She bit Skullette's outfit and used it to fling her away.

Lily gasped as Cindy punched Skullete in the face. "Cindy!" She hissed, Pulling her back. She turned to Skullette. "Get out of here or Ill send Avalanche and her brother on you." She said.

Skullette grunted and fell back onto her butt at the punch. She growled at all of them. "Get that dragon under control or I will.........she's not tamed all the way yet, now is she?" she asked Lily. "Have you gotten any saddle on her, have you learned how to control her, have you taught her how to listen to you, obey you? She's just hanging around so she can eat and heal and then she'll be off, mark my words!" she shouted and then stormed off.

Avalanche lowered her ears and then glanced towards Lily with her mouth gaped open. Saddle? What's a saddle? she thought to herself.

"I don't use saddles." Cindy said afterwards. "And dragons aren't just made to be obeyed and controlled. They're companions."

Lily stormed after Skullette. "Hey idiot!" She said to her face, before punching her in the face. "You will never ever diss Cindy or my dragons!" She growled. "Now go away you goddam disgrace to Odin! You have no idea what it means to be a dragon rider. You have no idea what it means to have friends."

Skullette's eyes widened and wasn't prepared for the next punch that made her lose her balance and almost fall. She then watched as Avalanche got in front of Lily and roared at her. Avalanche opened her mouth, preparing to fire a shot at her. Skullette rolled to dodge it and then ran as fast as she could.

Avalanche watched as her strike hit the ground and then left a hole and a burnt mark on it. She flicked her tail and then glanced back at Lily.

Hollo rose from his bed and got himself dressed, afterward he began to cook a fish over the fire as he began sharpening and cleaning his weapons.

Zirconia hissed as she got her wing stuck, still stiff from where it got hurt the night before. She dropped, but angled herself so instead of crashing she smashed into the water.

ATlanta jumped out of bed. She was getting her dragon today!! She grabbed something to eat and ate in her way to find Lily.
