Flamepaw darted into the clearing, skidding to a halt at a patch of vegetation. He looked back and hoped to see the rest of the apprentices on his paws. Wow... I didn't think I'd ran this far. he observed in his head, purring.

Bramblepaw followed, not even stopping to scent anything nearby, but instead making more noise as he leaped through the forest.

Shrewpaw followed along with a stubborn gaze at looked at everything with disgust. "Ew, mud everywhere." She muttered halfly to herself.

Cloudpaw leaped out from the bushes suddenly, crashing into her brother and purring with laughter as she knocked him off his paws. "Got you!"

Onyx's eyes narrowed, and she scented the air. "They're barely older than kits," she snorted. "And you're scared of them?"

Everest shrunk down under the large leaves of the plant and watched the young clan cats with disgust. "They'd be easy to...dispose of- well if you'd want to." Everest meowed, a smile spreading across her face.

Flamepaw looked back at Cloudpaw and Cedarpaw, purring. He opened his jaws to scent the air, but couldn't scent anything from the rainfall. "Eugh, we're never going to find prey, Martenpaw," he mewed in disgust at the mud.

"This was a stupid(?) idea! Lets get out of here" Cedarpaw hissed. She started to turn back in the mud and then she turned back "You Know what? Who-ever comes back with the most prey wins!" She raced into the mud but face-planted into the mud. "Ewww" she snarled

"You're all squirrel-brained!" Martenpaw spat, perched on a gnarled cedar root. "I can smell a bird's nest a few branches up this tree." He flicked his tail upwards at a hollow. "It's cornered in there with all this rain and it probably has eggs."
Robinpaw yelped as a worm wiggled out of the wet soil under her paw.

"Some of them look rather big.." Wasp gulped, taking a step back. "And there sure are a lot of them."

Claypaw snorted. "You want us to climb wet bark and possibly break our necks for one measley bird?"
Cloudpaw just rolled her eyes, scenting for other prey.

"There's four of us, Wasp," Onyx spat, cuffing him over the head with a paw. "Everest, take out the grey and white one."

Bell stood quietly behind a log, watching the apprentices slowly. He looked over at Wasp and rolled his eyes. No Clan can hurt us. he thought, flexing his claws into the soil.

Flamepaw bounded through the mud puddle and tried to detect any ground prey. He looked up and saw migrating geese.

Martenpaw snorted. "If your neck is literally made of dry mud maybe it'll break, though I wouldn't be surprised if you died falling a fox-length. He scrambled up the bark and climbed into the hollow. The robin's eyes opened quickly, but not in time to react the Martenpaw's killing strike.

Robinpaw saw a frog resting on a rotting log and leaped out at it. The frog croaked and hopped away from her grasp. Robinpaw tumbled over the log and onto the marshy grass on BrightClan's side of the border. She spotted four figures nearby and froze.

Wasp dipped her head in shame. Forgive me, great ones.. she thought. "Shall I join the attack?" she asked quietly.

Claypaw growled a little. "That's dangerous, Martenpaw!" he snarled, his fur fluffing out as thunder boomed.

Onyx thought for a moment, then nodded. "Give them some wounds, but don't kill them."

"What if they-" Wasp started, then clamped her jaw shut to avoid punishment. What if they tell their leader?

"Good to see you're so worried about me!" Martenpaw called, fidgeting as he tried to remove the bird from the hollow without being plagued by splinters.

Robinpaw backed up and leaped on top of the log, facing the other apprentices. "I think I see a BrightClan patrol!" she yelped, eyes wide.
OOC: If it was not obvious the "BrightClan patrol" is Onyx and co.

Cloudpaw gasped. "That's who I can smell!" She fluffed her fur out. "Let's go!"
Claypaw nodded furiously. "Martenpaw! Leave it!"

Onyx narrowed her eyes. "Blast, we're upwind. Get them!"

Bell immediately took action from Oynx's orders and leaped into the clearing, bowling into Claypaw and scraping his claws over his shoulder.

Flamepaw yelped as he saw a brindled tom launch himself onto Claypaw. "Claypaw!" he squeaked, looking around frantically and nearly choking when he saw the rest of the patrol behind the log.

Wasp leaped over the log and bowled into Flamepaw, hissing and spitting.

Robinpaw yowled in distress and charged at Bell, grabbing his scruff and trying to pull him off Claypaw.

Martenpaw gave a swift glance at the robin, then backed up against the tree, poising himself to pounce if one of the attackers got close enough.

Claypaw hissed loudly, mostly from the pain of claws down his flank, but managed to get in a few good blows at the rogue's stomach.

Cloudpaw yowled, leaping on to Wasp's back and digging her claws in, attempting to bite the attacker's neck furiously.

Onyx simply watched, her tail flicking.

Wasp shrieked and whipped around, striking out blindly at her attacker.

Martenpaw spotted one of the cats outside the fight and narrowed his eyes. He carefully hopped to the branch of another tree, creeping towards her until he was overhead.

Flamepaw took the advantage to scramble out of Wasp's grip, but immediately threw himself underneath the rogue and sunk his teeth into Wasp's underbelly.

Bell growled and whipped around, charging into Robinpaw. He kept his claws sheathed as he brought his front paw down hard on his opponent's head.

Robinpaw felt a hard whack on her head and scrambled back, arching her spine and puffing out her tail.

Martenpaw hopped down on top of Onyx, yowling.

Onyx felt claws latch into her pelt and immediately rolled over, exposing her stomach but crushing the cat that had landed on her back. "Stupid kittypet," she sneered at him.

Onyx bit down sharply on one of his paws, cackling. "Do you have dust up your nose? We're not Clan scum!" she ripped herself from his grip and stepped a paw, claws out, on his neck. "Die, kit!"

Robinpaw's eyes darted to Onyx and she gave out a howl, rushing from her duel with Bell and bowling into Onyx.

Everest sneaked around the area and unsheathed her claws as her blue eyes fell upon Cloudpaw. With quiet paws, she rushed behind her and sunk her jaws into her scruff, then yanking the she-cat onto the ground. She hissed at her and lashed her tail. "Maybe the reason you haven't found any prey out here is because you are the prey!" She sneered, her claws pinning the she-cat on her shoulders.

OOC: ok so what happens now & sorry for not getting into the fight earlier whoopsie

ic: Onyx snarled as she lashed out at the apprentice, feeling her claws rip through skin and smirking in satisfaction. They don't know what they're getting into.

Claypaw continued to try and fight Bellamy, ignoring the fact that he was considerably smaller.

Cloudpaw tried to struggle, spitting at the cat on top of her. "You'll never win! The Clans are too strong!" She managed to get in a few weak blows at Everest's belly, but was fading quickly into pure terror.

Martenpaw scrambled from the rogue's grip and darted back, sending an obvious nod to Robinpaw and creeping forward again warily.

Bellamy snarled as he felt a piercing pain in his neck, and fell back, with an exposed belly to Claypaw. He looked back and saw Flamepaw dashing away towards another opponent. "Mouse-dung!" he spat.

Everest raised her paw to give the small she-cat her final blow, but right before something pounced on her from behind and caused her aim to slash at Cloudpaw's shoulder instead. Everest hissed and spun around to face her attacker with frustration.

Everest hissed as she was slashed across her ears and quickly moved out of the way to dodge the next attack. She twisted around her and slashed at Cedarpaw's legs, attempting to knock her to the ground.

Cloudpaw gasped, the pain sparking in her shoulder making her pass out.

Claypaw howled loudly in anger, leaping over and battering Bellamy's stomach with outstretched claws.

Onyx snarled. "Leave them! They're not worth our time," she spat at Martenpaw and Robinpaw, teeth bared. "Be warned, you brainwashed fools. We will be back and you all will die like your friend over there."

Bellamy snarled and unsheathed his claws, slicing his paw towards Claypaw's belly. At Oynx's orders, he scrambled out of the apprentices grip and padded away with his back arched. He spat forcefully and disappeared behind the tree, away from the FireClan apprentices' attacks.

Wasp scrambled away from the battlefield, following after Onyx.

Martenpaw stood proudly, back straight and head high. "Is everyone alright?" he asked boldly.
Robinpaw nodded, ignoring the drops of blood dripping down her face. She glanced at Claypaw, waiting for him assurance.
