BrightClan/FireClan border

Darkpaw jumped a little in surprise and almost yowled, but stopped himself quickly as he realized it was Ivorystar. He tilted his head and looked at what the leader was looking at. oh that cat is stuck somehow.

OOC: I couldn't remember and I didn't feel like skipping through so many pages to figure out who was going where.
IC: Umberlight lashed his tail furiously. "Who's there!?" he called again, more angrily this time.

Ivorystar peered out from behind the boulder, watching Umberlight and hissing inwardly when she saw he was even closer than before. We need a distraction. she thought. She glanced over at Darkpaw and lashed her tail. "Go hide behind that bush when the warrior isn't looking." she whispered, nearly silent. She crouched down to her paws, belly brushing the grass, and watched the FireClan warrior intently to alert Darkpaw when to go.

Darkpaw nodded his head and crawled slowly to the other side of the boulder, still on the side where Umberlight couldn't see him, He glanced back at Ivorystar, waiting for the signal so he could dart into the bush that was maybe a fox length from where he was at that point.

OOC: Umberlight is supposed to die here :p

IC: Umberlight growled at the sound of whispering and lumbered towards the sound of voices.

Darkpaw glanced at Ivorystar for intrusions. do I wait for him to find us! attack him, or go into the bush? He thought.

Ivorystar clenched her teeth, letting out a hiss of disapproval. Apprentices can't do anything. she snarled in her mind, and slowly tiptoed out from the rock while Umberlight was watching for Darkpaw. She flicked her tail urgently to the other cats that were around her hiding place, and stealthily snuck from tree to tree, rock to rock, until she reached the badger set where Soraflight was stuck in.

Sealpaw flung herself after Ivorystar, her flanks heaving by the time she reached the hiding place nearby the abandoned badger set. She stood as still as a mouse, only fidgeting once in a while to pick the sharp bark pieces out of her claws. She winced as some blood trickled from her right pad, but held it in.

Scorpionpaw glanced to both sides before crawling after Ivorystar. She narrowed her eyes at Umberlight as she passed, and wondered if it would be a good idea to kill him and the other one in the badger set for no suspects and no one to run back to tell their Clan. She dug her claws into the earth below her, pelt brushing against Sealpaw's.

Umberlight puffed up as he spotted Darkpaw and snarled. "What are you doing on our territory?" he growled, bristling.

Soraflight spotted movement near the set and the scent of BrightClan hit the roof of her mouth. She flattened herself, trying to hide in the shadows of the set as best she could. She flinched as she heard Umberlight growl, concern for her brother growing.

Tigerspot darted after Ivorystar, crouching down carefully.

Speckledberry looked around, before following the same route as Ivorystar.

Dovefeather looked at Ivorystar, digging her claws into the tree she was on, before realizing she was stuck.

Pheonixmoon followed Ivorystar quickly, her ginger fur flashing.


OOC: BTW with Pheonixmoon, when Dovefeather became a MCA she went back to being a warrior for a while O.o then when Dove falls off the tree and dies Pheonix can tell Ivory that Dove went splat

Scorpionpaw pelted under an elderberry bush, the scent of FireClan getting stronger and stronger. We're close to their camp. she assumed, and nearly jumped out of her fur when Sealpaw skidded beside her. 

Sealpaw smiled. "Hey, Scorpionpaw. Don't you think we should get rid of the witnesses?" she suggested, although she knew Scorpionpaw well enough to know she would agree to kill. Sealpaw suddenly felt a FireClan scent hit her nostrils, but more stronger. "We need to at least cross the border!" she mewed fretfully, peeking outside at Ivorystar and the rest of the group shivering behind rocks and such.

Crimsonheart crouched down, looking around and taking in all of the scents

Whitefrost crouched down behind a rock, next to Crimsonheart. He saw a squirrel scuttling up a tree and fought the urge to blow his cover and pelt after it. 

Lynxcloud dug her claws into a swaying tree branch, hearing faint crackling from below. She softened her weight and fluffed out her tail when Umberlight spoke, realizing cats were on the territory.

"Hello Whitefrost" Crimsonheart greeted her clanmate. She let her body lower to the ground and rest

Whitefrost only nodded in acknowledgment, not wanting to make any noises to alert the two FireClan warriors on their heels. He merely flattened his ears and tapped a paw to his mouth to shush her, then saw a sprout of chervil leaves growing by the rock just a few fox-lengths away from where he was hiding.

"Sorry" Crimsonheart whispered. She curled her tail in to take as least space as possible

Umberlight swiveled his head towards the sound of talking and spotted the BrightClan cats entering their territory. Umberlight growled and rushed forward, barreling into Lynxcloud with a yowl.
Soraflight looked down at the place where her leg was lodged. I need to get out of here before they see me...

Whitefrost glanced back to where Umberlight was and pelted across the clearing, skidding softly beside the rock. He locked his jaws around the leafy ferns and picked out the chervil carefully. He flicked his tail abruptly for Crimsonheart to come over as well to help him.

Crimsonheart rushed silently over to Whitefrost, carefully picking the stalks of Chevril in her jaws

Dovefeather hesitated, trying to climb down the tree, but she was stuck. Her ears were flat as she looked around, but she suddenly tripped, her claws gripping on to the branch. Her eyes were wide as the branch cracked, hanging by a hinge.

Lynxcloud, without any time to clean the blood from her cut when she fell off the tree branch, tumbled over at Umberlight's impact. She yowled in surprise and unsheathed her claws, scrabbling for a hold and latching them into his shoulder fur.

Pheonixmoon heard a branch breaking and her gaze darted up to see Dovefeather hanging.

Dovefeather shrieked as the branch broke off, and she plummeted down, her shriek being cut off by the impact of her neck hitting the ground and snapping.

OOC: RIP Dove

Crimsonheart stared at Dovefeather's dead or almost dead body. Crimsonheart felt sadness grip her like a cold hand

OOC: Nupe she ded

she broke her neck and a branch crushed her

IC: Pheonixmoon gasped, before her eyes narrowed. She looked at Ivoorystar, swerving over. "I think Dovefeather's... dead..." she whispered.

Umberlight snarled and bit into Lynxcloud's scruff. "Get off my land!" he snarled, his voice muffled by her fur.
Tawnysky yelped and stumbled backwards from the medicine cat's body.

From where she was crouching, Sedgeflower gasped at the sight of the dead she-cat. She slapped her tail across her muzzle, stopping herself from making any noise.

Ivystripe glanced at Sedgeflower, his wary gaze meeting hers before glancing to Dovefeather again. He turned his head away, his eyes sweeping the FireClan territory.

Scorpionpaw turned and leaped out of the bush, seeing Dovefeather laying limp on the ground. "Oh, my SoulClan." she gasped, tail fluffed out with terror. 

Sealpaw padded after her instinctively, brushing up against her. "Uh-oh. Enough about her! Look! Lynxcloud!" she shrieked, watching the bloody skirmish between the BrightClan deputy and Umberlight. "We have to go help!"

Lynxcloud dug her paws into his shoulders, kicking back and knocking into his stomach with her hind legs. She collapsed onto her back, the air knocked out of her.

Ivorystar looked back, seeing Dovefeather. "Oh, oh, my." she muttered.

"She might be happier in SoulClan" Crimsonheart whispered sadly. Hoping what she said was true

Umberlight place his heavy paws triumphantly on the deputy's chest. He looked down at her then froze, struck with the realization that he was surrounded by her Clanmates.
Tawnysky approached Umberlight, letting out a low growl.

Tigerspot gasped, her ears flat as she realized the young medicine cat apprentice was dead.

Speckledberry's eyes widened, and he leaped out the bush he was in to leap onto Umberlight's back, claws out.

Lynxcloud gasped for breath, and while her brain still functioned properly, she took the advantage of the frozen warrior and clawed at his belly, kicking out with her hind legs and trying to wriggle out. 

Ivorystar saw the skirmish with Umberlight and shook her head. "Dovefeather will have to wait." she murmured to Phoenixmoon, leaping forwards and landing with both front paws on the FireClan warriors back.

Tawnysky stood near Umberlight, ready to back up her patrol if needed.
Umberlight yelped, buckling under their weight. There's nothing I can do, he realized, I can't run, I can't fight them all...


Soraflight struggled, trying to free herself desperately from the set. "Umberlight..." she whispered hoarsely.

Lynxcloud found her chance while Tigerspot and Ivorystar pummeled Umberlight. She quickly scrambled to her paws, tail fluffed out, and padded away, her shoulder bleeding lightly. 

Ivorystar dug her claws into the warriors back before leaping off with fury. "You should think twice before attacking my deputy." she hissed.

Crimsonheart felt ready to spring even though it seemed like Ivorystar already had things settled

Scorpionpaw bounded across the clearing, grabbing Dovefeather's body by the scruff and dragging her across the grass back to the elderberry bush. "We should leave her here for now." she instructed to Sealpaw with a long sigh. She saw a mouse chattering at the roots of a tree close by and leaped, pummeling it and cracking it's back. She proudly trotted back and dropped it beside Dovefeather's body, pressing her muzzle to the medicine cats flank in respect before continuing her hunt for herbs, her assigned task.

Speckledberry spun around, racing off to help raid. Wait, was I catching prey or herbs? he thought, before deciding on herbs.

Tigerspot bit her tongue, glancing at Ivorystar and Lynxcloud before deciding she could start hunting. She raced away, before scenting a squirrel and stalking it carefully.

Pheonnixmoon looked around, not sure what to do.

Sedgeflower quietly slipped through the grass, following her nose towards an unsuspecting rabbit.

Ivystripe remained where he was for a few moments, glancing around before moving forward to look for any herbs.

"Y-you're on FireClan territory!" Umberlight stuttered, shrinking back from the BrightClan leader. "Why are you here?! Why are you hunting here?! I-I-I'm going to have to report this to Redstar."
Tawnysky turned from the scuffle and went to look for prey to catch. She spotted a squirrel perched on a low-swaying branch above and crouched, stepping towards the squirrel.

Soraflight heard someone going towards her hiding spot and gave a whimper and backed against a rocky wall.

Ivorystar stepped up to Umberlight, her nose touching his. She flexed her claws in the ground. "I'm not sure I can let you do that." she growled, ears flattened. 

Lynxcloud curled her tail over her paws, guarding from behind a rock facing the direction to FireClan's camp, ready to disperse if she sensed another cat coming. She hadn't even realized her shoulder had begun to pool blood.

Phoenixmoon glanced at Lynxcloud, her ears flicking, before leaping up a sturdy tree and keeping guard.

Tigerspot leaped onto the squirrel, nipping it's neck quickly. She pricked her ears, ready to find more.

Speckledberry looked around, seeing some cobwebs. He clawed them, ripping them to shreds by accident. Oops. Oh well.

Mudpaw smirked at Umberlight a little then darted of to find some prey. He quickly scented a mouse. He stopped in his tracks and looked around. He saw the tiny creature and dove, he bent his neck and snapped its neck then threw it aside. He then went on to find more.

Springpaw glanced around. I go for herbs.. but I don't know what herbs look like out here.. ill just wait then destroy the herbs at camp.. wait. I know what cobwebs look like ill destroy those. She thought and looked around for some cobwebs. She saw some at the base of a tree and slammed her paw down on it, making it useless. wait.. am I suppose to destroy the herbs out here or stash them and bring them back? she thought.

Sealpaw ran up to Springpaw, following her lead and unsheathing her claws, tearing through another stash of cobwebs hanging from a short branch. 

Whitefrost sprung from behind the rock, leaving Crimsonheart behind, and picked out some sprigs of burdock root from around the soil of a tree. He saw Sealpaw and Springpaw and shook his head with anger. "What are you two doing?" he hissed. Once out of earshot of Umberlight, he whispered, "You're supposed to steal the herbs! Lynxcloud has already destroyed some."

Umberlight flattened his ears and met Ivorystar's gaze. "And how are you planning to do that?" the tom snapped, "Kill me? A completely defenseless cat who caught you intruding? How immoral can you get!?"

Crimsonheart watched the leader and warrior and silently rooted for Ivorystar to just kill him and get going

Speckledberry mentally smacked himself. "Oops." he mewed, before looking around and finding more herbs to steal.

Tigerspot leaped up a tree carefully, seeing a bird, and stalked it. The bird fell off the branch, right into Speckledberry's paws.

Speckledberry jumped back, startled, before planting a paw heavily on the bird's neck, killing it.

Ivorystar hesitated, pretending not to know what to say. She heard a flutter of wings above her and glanced up, seeing a flock of bats coming in from FrostClan's territory. She locked eyes with Umberlight again and lunged forward, claws digging into his back as she pinned him down. 

Sealpaw nodded to Whitefrost. "Sorry, O' Wise One." she giggled and found another stash of cobwebs near the ones she had just destroyed and used her paws to twirl through them carefully, mimicking what she saw Morningshine do many times when she volunteered to join her on a herb hunt.

Springpaw glances at Whitefrost. " oh, sorry. Didn't know." She meows and looks around for more cobwebs. She darted up a tree as she saw some webs hung on a limb. She looked around in web to make sure there where no spiders. She saw none so she carefully grabbed the cobwebs and wound it around her paw. She jumped down, landing awkwardly on 3 paws then set it on a limb to get when coming back to camp.

Crimsonheart watched Ivorystar with sharp eyes. She didn't know why Ivorystar was wasting her time with threats. She wanted to get a move on

Umberlight winced in pain. "You're a coward." he spat, "You can't even look me in the eye, can you?"

Tawnysky watched the bats pass overhead, and ominous feeling trickling through her. What's Ivorystar going to do?

Ivorystar breathed heavily, her large paws keeping Umberlight down. She looked into his eyes, infuriated. She picked up a paw, all claws unsheathed, and raked it across his neck. "Coward, huh?" she hissed and sunk her teeth into his shoulder.

"Yup, and hurting me doesn't change that." he breathed through the pain, teeth clenched. "You're killing a cat who can't defend himself, not out of necessity, but because I'm making you angry. If you let me go, all that would happen is that FireClan would have definite proof from me that you intruded. Either way, my Clanmates have noses, they can tell if someone's been intruding." Don't give away that Soraflight's here, I need to at least keep her safe.
