A tiny orange-yellow she-kit crawled around the stone floor. She scrambled in the darkness towards milk scent. She let out a wail to let whoever was there know she was hungry.

Littlelily purred and licked the kits head. There was a beautiful one that was white with black spots, as well as a creamy and a ginger. There was also two others.

Darkshadow jolted awake by a nightmare, gasping. I should check on Littlelily He got to his paws and trotted over to the den, ducking into the den then stopping dead. He stared at his mate with mouth open. " the kits." He whispered.

The newly named Waspkit mewled softly until she found the warm milk scent. She latched on and started to suckle.

" that's a wonderful name." Darkshadow purred, nudging a dark grey tom that was straying back to her belly. " I think this one should be Sparrowkit." He meowed, pointing at the tom.

Littlefire held Mistkit back with her tail. "Shhhh Mistkit," she hushed

Sweetkit yawned and jumped to her feet, walking over. "Their soo cute!"

Littlelily laughed. "I think I recall that I promised that Mistkit could name one. Why don't she talk to her sister about a name for this one." She nodded to a sandy coloured one.

Sparrowkit squeaked, feeling vibrations from Mistkit. He squealed, snuggling closer to his mother, shaking with fear.

Darkshadow nodded. " of course!" He meowed, moving his gaze to the older kits.

Fawnkit mewed quietly, trying to sniff out Littlelily but failing. She eventually made her way to Littlelily. There was just one problem. She couldn't get to her. All the other kits were around Littlelily, and Fawnkit couldn't get thru. She mewed as loud as she could. Hoping someone would pick her up.

Nightpelt blinked his eyes open and stretched his legs in his nest, laying there for a few seconds and shivering a bit. Why is it so cold...? He thought, taking in a deep yawn. After the scent of the fresh, freezing air he remembered that was the first sign of snow. Nightpelt quickly picked himself up on his paws and through the stretched out tails and legs in the den, quietly slipped outside. Once he reached the end of the warrior's den, a massive chill hit him and brightness. "Snow..." He mumbled to himself, looking down at his paws, which were now hidden, "Lots of snow." Nightpelt fluffed his fur up for warmth as he picked his way through the ice cold snow.

Claypaw stretched and shivered suddenly as a brisk wind cut through the walls of the apprentice den. He frowned and blinked heavily, standing and stumbling out, immediately falling into the pile of snow.

"Congratulations! Your kits are so beautiful!" The tabby queen dipped her head at Littlelily, ignoring the constant pain in her belly.

Claypaw glanced around for his mentor, wondering what was happening.
