Barley rested his head on his paws, leaning against Milkweed's soft fur. His back paws were sprawled across Acornwhisker's body, and he slowly drifted into slumber.

Sedgekit glared at the kits. They are going to get so much special treatment because they are adopted kits of the leader and her mate. Ugh. Is Acornwhisker going to be in here all the time with those brats now? She thought. I hope not, she seems mean, and expects special treatment herself because she is mates to Redstar.

Larkkit heard the ignorant comments from Sedgekit and silently agreed. The kits would be greatly spoiled now that the leader and her mate were taking care of them.

Acornwhisker lifted her head. "If you're not aware, I can hear you," she growled a little. "Leave them alone."
Milkweed snuggled a little closer, her eyes drooping shut, but having heard everything. Acornwhisker and Redstar are mates? she thought to herself as she drifted off.

Tawnyfrost stretched from his spot on the side of the camp.

Ooc: I have plenty of time this week, so let's have it now so we don't have many delays.
Brindlestripe heaved herself to her paws and slowly padded into the nursery. She thumped into her nest and winced, her flanks throbbing worse than before.
The throbbing worsened and Brindlestripe called out.
"Hawkstep!" She called, clawing at the mossy nest.

Hawkstep quickly padded into the den. "Brindlestripe?" he called out. He heard the clawing and rushed up to her with a frown. "She's kitting!" he flipped his head back, hurrying into the medicine den.

Littlelily looked over at Brindlestripe. "I'll go get the medicine cats!" She got up, ignoring Shadowkits mews as he fell from her nest. She pawed him back in and smiled at him before dashing over. "Silversky! Soraflight! Brindlestripe is kitting!"

Shadowkit mewed and looked over at Brindlestripe. "What's wwrwong?"

Lynxkit sniffed his sibling, Sedgekit. "Can we plway with thwem?"

Littlefire glanced over. "Come on kits let's play out in the snow!" She said. "Sedgekit, why don't you get your siblings and come out as well?" She suggested.

Brindlestripe breathed through raspy breaths. A ripple of pain coursed through her as she gasped for breath, moaning in pain. This was Brindlestripe's first kitting and was more painful than she anticipated. She barely heard the other cats as she clawed frantically at the ground.

Sedgekit eyed the birthing she-cat, eyes wide. She nodded to her mom. " Come on guys! Lets play tag!" She meowed, understanding that Brindlestripe was in pain. " Your it Lynxkit!" She added, racing out of the den, Sparrowkit hard on her paws.

"Not for long!" Lynxkit yowled, jumping to his paws. He had only opened his eyes this morning, but it was a whole new world. "Come on Shadowkit!"

Shadowkit jumped up and ran out past Lynxkit. He stood Next to Sparrowkit and waited for his brother.

Flintkit looked inside the nursery. "She's kitting???" he asked confused, before the fur on his shoulders bristled and he hid in the dark corner of the den unseen.

Russetpaw rushed in, carrying a thick stick in her jaws and set it down at the queen's paws. "That will help the pain instead of gritting your teeth." She explained.

Acornwhisker just tucked her tail around the two kits nestled at her stomach, gently covering them so they didn't get woken up.
Milkweed just continued to snore softly.

Cloudpaw watched the bustle and rolled her eyes, stretching and looking around for something to do.

Rowankit squealedin fear at the sudden commotion and quickly rushed back to where her mother lay, "MOM WHAT'S HAPPENING?" She yowled, hiding behind her legs.

Mothwhisker purred in amusement and looked down at her kit, "You'll understand when you're older. But, soon enough you'll have new kit friends." She explained.

Snowfire curled her tail around her sleeping kits as she watched silently from the back of the den.

Brindlestripe panted heavily, finally finished with her kitting. She smiled down on the three wriggling bundles at her belly and licked each of their heads affectionately.
"I'll call this one Brightkit," She mewed, touching the orange and brown she-kit. Brindlestripe turned to the next one, a dark red tom. "This is Flamekit," She murmured.
Brindlestripe turned to her mate. "You can name the last one, Hawkstep," she murmured, looking into his deep eyes.
Doespring paced outside the nursery in anxiety. She worried about the kitting, as anything could happen and go badly.

Sedgekit stopped playing the game. " guys, guys.." She squealed, staring at the nursery. " why is it so quiet." Her eyes widened, concidering the worst. She started to creep to the nursery, and peeked in, hoping not to find a dead body.

Darkfrost padded back into the camp after a long day of hunting. Because of season, he returned with a scarce amount of prey but still set his kills down in the fresh kill pile. His stomach growled but he decided that he would wait until he made sure that everyone else in his clan had been fed. He looked around to see if he could do anything for anyone in the camp. After all, he was a deputy of the clan.

The newly named Brightkit let out a tiny mew. She crawled to the scent of milk close by. She latched on and started to suckle.

Littlefire looked in. "Kits! You can come in now just don't be to noisy." She said.

Flamekit snuggled close to his new siblings, blind and deaf to the world. He whimpered and drank in his mother's sweet, milky scent and suckled.
